The Workshop Instructor
Carole Hillsbery is a highly accomplished watercolorist who now lives in Florence, OR. Carole describes herself a “shape maker” starting with large fresh washes of color and working toward smaller, more intense shapes and colors that define the subject. She is an impressionist in her approach to her work which has been described as "meticulously imprecise" as she thoughtfully and carefully builds shapes to represent her subject.
Carole is a signature member of the Transparent Watercolor Society of America and the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies and the Arizona Watercolor Association. She is a juried member of the Arizona Art Alliance and the Arizona Artist Guild and a new juried member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon. She was recently elected to the Northwest Watercolor Society.
